Sligo Rovers 1 Shamrock Rovers 2

Chris Turner eventually returned to the Showgrounds on Friday evening, and scored the winning goal as Shamrock Rovers picked up a crucial three points.
Turner changed his mind on a return to his former club in Sligo in the close season, opting instead to sign for the Dubliners.
And he further incensed the home fans on Friday by heading home the winning goal for the Hoops – with a linesman adjudging that his 61st minute header crossed the line after bouncing back down off the crossbar.
The visitors had equalised just seven minutes prior to that goal, when Alan Keane inadvertently headed past his own keeper under pressure from Gary Twigg.
The home side had taken the lead in the opening half, when Eoin Doyle headed Joseph Ndo’s corner to the net on 23 minutes.
But they had Gavin Peers sent-off for a high tackle on Billy Dennehy on 37 minutes.
But Sligo were the better team in the closing stages, and could have had a penalty when John Russell was tripped in the area.
Striker Lee McEvilly also made an impressive debut as a second half substitute.
